Plenty of folks here with sidewinders of all different kinds/brands. I'g sure they'll be able to give you tips on how theirs work, and sound.

You do see used ready once in a while but the shipping is going to get you. almost worth going new with gratis shipping.....and you can put mufflers in the pipes.....
Good luck and allow us know what you decide.

I got Hookers from Jet Hot, ceramic coated, with the glass packs. the price was less than Hooker. See what in that location toll is.
The sound is not bad at all until you open it upward.

I see a lot of guys installing the universal Patriot sidepipes. They don't expect every bit nice equally the Hookers but for under $300 it tin can fit the pecker. They work with your stock exhaust manifolds. You guild them past length. Summit, Jegs etc behave them. Now, I have a set hither. Picked em up used and they are going on my Model A drag toy not the vette. I will assume they are an offshore production but the material is adequately stout and the chrome pretty good. None of its flaking off....yet....I can e-mail pics of these if anyone wants some angle not shown in the ads. I don't take the elbow that adapts the front of the pipe to your manifold down tube. I become to make those...hence the $50 toll tag. They are glass packs...just well-nigh full length also. So I assume they are not very loud. I'grand going to section mine and remove half the muffler. Hey its a drag toy.

I installed sidepipes this past jump in my 72 Convertible. Bottom line, wish I would have done it in the first place. I went with headman side exhaust headers and a manufacturing plant piping with Ecklers covers. I think they sound cracking and I dont consider mine that loud. That is until y'all push to hard on the accelerator, which I dont believe in! Now I believe the aftermarket pipes are much louder but the factory pipes are perfect for an old human like me. Of course the sound is only half the pleasure, the center appeal wraps up the package for a large Thumbs Up! I'll try posting a film to show you!
Also with a cover on your pipage there is less of a chance to not become the leg tattoo that stays with y'all for life. And if your significant other gets burnt your upward the creek for the rest of your life! The fiber glass covers do non get hot, bank check with other for aftermarket covers.
Best of luck, and if your in Pa in the bound and desire to hear them, feel free to finish in!

I did the repro chrome metal N11 '69 side pipage covers and a set of oversized side pipe mufflers from Sugariness Thunder. Very pricey.
I just did a search on ebay. There is a set of fiberglass '69 N11 fashion covers for about $390 shipped. These fiberglass covers tin exist painted. Plus you won't fry your leg on them either. Sweet Thunder has OEM way side piping mufflers that bolt to the stock manifolds starting at $450 for aluminized tubing. Stainless is starting at $650.
